Corn growers warn farmers to prepare for propane shortages

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota corn is three months away from harvest, but the Minnesota Corn Growers Association is encouraging farmers to plan ahead for their propane needs.

Republican gubernatorial hopeful Marty Seifert (SIGH'-fert) is defending his decision to run in the August primary after he was unable to secure the G-O-P endorsement at last weekend's state convention.

Johnson wins Governor endorsement, Seifert will challenge in primary

Former State Representative Marty Seifert didn't receive the Republican endorsement during the GOP Convention in Rochester on Saturday.

Instead, the endorsement went to Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson, a former legislator.

Hail was the biggest threat with an isolated severe thunderstorm that moved over the Marshall area Tuesday evening.

Several reports of hail up to about an inch in diameter was reported in the Marshall area.
